Relax? I don’t know the meaning of the word

How to restore your energy and live with joy

It’s mid-week and your energies are flagging.  You have years of work ahead and no prospect of paying all the bills.  Life is tough. You don’t even have time to relax and let go because you are so worried.

If this is you, take a deep breath because you are going to change all that and start to really live.

Let’s look at the options.  In order for the body to truly relax and restore itself day by day we need to stop sending it constant worry messages.  So first of all, spend five minutes a day sitting comfortably watching your thoughts.

That’s it – five minutes every morning. Just watch the thoughts go through your mind.  Don’t elaborate on them. Then get up and go to work.  Do the same thing tomorrow.

I know it is hard to believe it will work, but I have been teaching this stuff for over 40 years.  Paying attention to your thoughts will slow them down.  Then you will notice you have more energy because constant repetitive thinking saps your energy.  You will feel calmer and more in control.  You will make better decisions and be less over-reactive and stressed.  By all means do more than five minutes. Enormous changes to our lives begin with small acts of courage.
